Ive gone through several potential possibilities for a build. A built up Type 1, A Raby built up type 4, and finally a stock 3.2 liter Porsche. All have their pros and cons, I chose Intermeccanica after seeing a number a cars side by side, speaking to different people, all of whom are well meaning, all with a different opinions. Money while important, was not the primary consideration. The car, how it performs, power/weight ratio, fun factor, and ultimately how it will be used determined the choices I made. I realize that these are different for everybody, no one has a corner of what is "right" or wrong when it comes to these cars. Im confident that this next year will bring me a car that will have met all the criteria that I set out.

I decided that SIZE does matter. I have a 1984 3.2 liter/915 drivetrain going in. I spoke to Mike Wiggins, whose car was detailed in Excellence Mag in Sept 03,Marcos who lives here in NJ who also loves his IM, also a 3.2. I just felt, after reassurance from Henry that this car is on a whole other level of performance. The dedicated boxed frame and subframes, moving the engine 3in further foward will help offset the additional 150lbs, over the type 4 motor. THIS IS A STREET CAR, not something for the track. The other thing that swung me over was the fact that for the other motors to give me want I want, they would be inherently less reliable, because they would need to be "built" up. The 3.2,will be stock, except for a Hyperchip upgrade to the DME unit. Stock motor 260hp with chip. Nothing is perfect, there is a rear bias, but Henry has done a number of these cars, with no complaints. I expect this car to be delivered sometime in the latter half of 07.
