Those look like American-Mag wheels with the Porsche 911 aluminum wheel mounting pattern. Some early American mags were made in cast magnesium (very light and very rare) but most of them are the later wheels made in cast aluminum.

I think you're right. I just saw those wheels somewhere else as well. Can't place it though. I think it was a recent VW Trends or HVW's magazine, and the description they gave of the wheels matches yours. Definitely not the standard 356 5x205mm bolt pattern.
If I'm not mistaken, that's an Outlaw built by one of the Emory brothers. Awesome cars. I remember watching them race at PIR's Historic races. Talk about a high drool factor.
