I want to make up a spare for my 356 Replica. It has Vintage 190 wheels from VintageMotors in California.
wheels are 15x 5.5, 5x205mm with 4” backspacing.
Has 195/15/65R Blackhawk tires. The wheel I found has all the same specs but 3.75” backspacing.
If using as just a spare is this a technical significance that can cause issues. Thanks

If your wheel moved outward 1/4" would it cause clearance issues?
No. I can fit more than two fingers width in space.

The other issue is whether the spare will fit in your frunk. I have a 4" wheel with a space-saver tire.
isn't there also an issue where to store a bottle or sissor jack?...just as easy to have AAA as well as carry an air compressor and fix a flat goo in a can ? just IMHO
I have a 928 jack which is very compact and light. It fits in my Carlisle tool bag.
I have thick aluminum plates at the jack points with a hole to receive the bump on the top of the jack.
The Odessy battery allows a lot of space for the tool bag and other stuff.

I do have roadside assistance with Hagerty and an air compressor which works great. Wanted to have regular size spare for added peace of mind. No room for spare but my wife or daughter will just have to bring it to me. 😎Don’t want it towed!
