I have a set of Trigo FIA knock-off wheels that I currently have Hoosier racing slicks on that I used to use for the Cobra. These are true knock-off, pin drive wheels and Trigo can custom make an adapter/hub for VW 5 bolt pattern. These wheels are 7x15 front and 9.5x15 rear both w/3.75 backspace. They are just sitting now in the storage shop and have been for 7 yrs since I quit racing.

This style of wheel was used by many race teams in the '60's besides Shelby American. Just an Idea I had. And for the hubs and spinners the cost is only going to be less than $350 plus street tires...way cheaper than even one VS wheel

It will make your car stand out, and that's not easy, given the constraints we tend to operate under. I'm referring (in part) to the conversation about the later nose conversion in another thread here, and the fact that the Speedster (and early coupe) body styles were never highly customized and people tend to be somewhat traditional in wheel choices, it's hard to make your car stand out from the crowd. I'd love to see what it looks like; wide body cars lend themselves to different wheel choices a little more than non-flared cars.

Quick, who's got Photoshop?

One reason is I already have them Another reason is I have a widebody. I'm going to bring one front and one rear wheel to the house and see if they'll even work by pulling off the ones that are on the car now and placing the the Trigos in place then use jacks to position the car. These Trigo's are the F.I.A design aprroved wheel used on the 289 Cobra's and early GT-40's as well as some Jags, Lotus's and others, based off the original Halibrand magnesium wheels

The tires may actually be too wide as they are 295/50's and the fronts are 235/60's, all of them Hoosier non-DOT racing slicks, but it will give me an idea if the rims will work and how they'll look if they under the car.

Terry, no not for sale, sorry!
