A "Swamp Cooler" for the shop!
VERY clever!
That little Rennmotor should be coming along nicely now! Don't blow away the little parts.
umm, where does the beer go
When I still had the home shop in PA winter temps could drop to around zero, I would crack a door open a bit, and drag the CharBroil BBQ into the shop and fire it up full blast. Yeah ....the shop smelled like T Bone steaks but once it got up to 40 degrees the electric heat could take over and do the rest .
You know... window units aren't very expensive.
This ice chest cooler actually used to be in my VW bus for the hot summers here and was sitting outside after I sold my bus, so I decided to put it to use in my shop by installing a 4 inch 120v ac fan replacing the120v dc fan that didn’t work anymore. It’s pointed at my workbench only just so I can work on my little model four cam 547 Carrera engine without dripping sweat all over it! :-)
I meant 12 vdc

I don’t have any windows in my garage, I’d have to cut a hole through the stucco and I’m not out there that much.
Bob, I insulated my ceiling and put a ridge vent on the peak, along with soffit vents. My garage is small, 19 x 19 inside with a 7' ceiling.
MAJOR temp change in the sun. Most times in the summer I don't need to turn the AC on at all. Also helps in the winter, it stays warmer for a long time when I turn the heat on.
