I'm thinking of replacing my trunk seal. Have a thick foam style right now, I would like to go to a D moulding. The widest I can find is 14mm x 12mm. I would like something wider.

McMaster Carr 3/8 x 5/8 D shape Self-adhesive weatherstrip When you install it leave a slight gap between the vertical surface this allows water to run down to the Bottom front

I looked into McMaster Carr. They do not ship internationally.
You could also try Steele Rubber Products in the states. They make automotive parts for most cars, boats etc.
Does anyone know whether the recommended McMaster Carr or Stoddard weather stripping profile could be used for the rear trunk? I have the four rubber bumpers and it thumps when I go over bumps. Would like

Don’t seal off the engine deck lid the four buttons are there to allow Small amount of additional air venting. Adjusting Deck lid latch will fix your rattle

Does Amazon deliver to you?
If so, go to Amazon and enter "3/8" X 5/8" automotive weatherstrip" into your search bar and you should get lots of hits.

Thanks, Dave. I wasn't really sure.
But I was just trying to be helpful. I figured even if you find the sea lions first at Home Depot, the seals would be on the same aisle.
Whatever D shape seal you decide to get, be sure that it Is hollow and that it is also thin wall as the thicker wall hollow do you shape molding will not compressed enough

Maybe just try using four 2" long strips in what would be the corners of the lid to make a thicker seal than the buttons yet still allow air to get inside.

I don't know, isn't that a bit too far from the "original experience" he's looking for?
If it looks like a duck, it has to shift like a duck, have no power like a duck, and have buttons on the decklid like a duck.

Elephant seals are seals, no?

@dlearl476 at least it wasn't the standard wise-guy reply for any technical question..."Flux Capaciter".
