where can I get a decklid like this?

I lke the look of the "carrera" decklid, and the additional cooling air it could provide. where Do I get one? Are the decklids the same for CMC, IM, Beck and Vintage?

I've seen them on www.356speedsters.com website. Since they are Vintage Speedsters resellers (and the pictures were taken on Kirk's shop) I'm pretty sure Kirk offers them.

Didn't Beck have a booth at Carlisle where they had one of these on a table???

I kick myself everytime I think back when some time ago someone on Ebay had molds to make fiberglass Carrera lids up for grabs. They went for about $200 at that time...about 3 years ago. Like I said, I kick myself everytime I think about it...

Luke , You could send your deck lid to JPS Motorsports and have them retrofit the vents. Or find a sheet metal shop to stamp out the louvers and install them yourself.

From personal experience - VS decklids do not fit CMC's. The radius on the curve of the outside (L&R) edges are different. Ask me how I know. It does, however, provide more cooling air as the decklid edges don't touch the body.

Luke, below are a few pictures of the install process. I did reverse my louvers for a smooth custom.

I got my Carrera decklid from Kirk and even though my Vintage was only a year or two old at the time, the lid didn't fit as a 'drop-in' sort of install.

If you cross makes you'll likely have even more trouble!

I'm downstate (out here in "Forgotonia"), and a classic retro-grouch guy through and through. Every time I look at your build though, I find something else that is difficult to fabricate, and very cool. I'd really like to see your car when it's done. Keep those pictures coming.
