Jeff, I prefer fried green tomatoes myself and they're too good to throw away, even for a good cause. I thought the last report that I read indicated that the car was awaiting shipment to Idaho. You out there Stu?

He emailed me today, the car is on a truck headed straight for him. I'm guessing he will have the car thursday, or friday.

Well boys and girls, Ladies and gentlemen (you to Vince cause I so appreciate your wit and charm)the car is on the way. Steve has been solid everything is the way it should be except..........
Eh gads the trucker says he is going to Salt Lake before me which is odd. I have my local troops at the ready to figure out (when I speak to the driver)what his route is and how we will intercept him in a strategically planned movement of hard core driving and cranial exercise to get my fucking car.
Besides that I am over joyed it is coming to me very shortly. I have convinved my wife we need to be back out here in Sept. since we are as of Sunday empty nesters! Love my girl but..............Yipeeeeee!

Salt Lake City is a lot closer than Knoxville!! Progress, my man.

I know all about empty nesting. It sort of happens and it sort of doesn't. You will be glad about the "not" part, believe me. Luck!

I did build a scale model car like mine but with a speedster windshield. I play with it like a 7 year old most days and pretend I'm driving around in my car. Sometimes I pretend I'm driving off a cliff...LOL

Empty nest??

Like a bad smell you can't get rid of they just keep coming back...with kids of their own eventually!

Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can. One of ours leaves again in Sept only this time we're gutting the room he moves out of so there's no place for him to live if he wants to move back.

An update for the curious mind!

Car will be here Monday. I will be in NY. I will be coming back here in Sept to go on a touring tear with my wife. It looks great. Steve has resolved the issues.
I will post more pictures whenI get home.

I am actually pretty cool about it. I figure I will be back here in three - four weeks. W edrop Lindsay at university this Sunday so following that we will be pretty free. I am just looking forward having th car with everything tweaked as need be.
The trucker can only do so many hours a day by federal law and the car got picked up Weds rather than Sunday or Monday.
Such is life.
In the end I will be livin large!

Maybe the truck driver decided it needed more test driving...LOL

Car is in Sun Valley. My best friend Kenny Corrock (Mike you might remember him US SKI Team/Pro Ski tour) is havin a blast with it!
Says it kicks ass. I will be there October 12th and will be driving myself for the fall colors in the mountains!
We will be going up through the range to Stanley and then Wyoming!
The car came out great and I will report further when I drive it more.
Are you gonna get another speedster?
