Where do you take your 356 for services

I live in So Cal and just wondering where should I take my 356 for services (tuneup; adjusting idle time; low compression, ...)?
Any recommendation?

Not sure where you're located, but Number 1 choice = Larry Jowdy (SOC). More than fair rates and reliable/competent work. Look him up on this site registry.

So Cal is a rather large area, you will need to get us closer to a spacific area....I can recommend a few in the South Bay area, but basically you want a really good VW mechanic, not a 356 or porsche mechanic..If you live near one of the builders even better..
I always tried not to bother Kirk at Vintage, when he was busy, but now he may welcome the business, in fact he is probably making more money on parts and labor for repairs at this time....

I just took my 2009 T/R Speedster to Unique Imports in Mission Viejo (25800 Jeronimo 949-951-5201). They fixed the engine leaks and, as a courtesy, shuttled the car around the corner to a muffler shop to have the exhaust pipes reworked. My first visit was a good experience.

Kingboa - I also live in Irvine and have always been happy with the service at Unique Imports in Mission Viejo (corner of Jeronimo/Alicia).

Don't ignore the local "dune buggy shops". I have had great service at reasonable prices using these local facilities. And they want to please you so you will come back again.
