And how much?

I'd say for a Roadster you are pretty much limited. Probably IM directly or custom made to your original top.
For my CMC replacement I went with the cloth Haartz top from VS but it's for a low bow Speedster and won't fit a taller Roadster cabin. They list prices at their site (which included snaps when I purchased).
ok then. what kind of $ am I looking at for a Stafast?
For a roadster you'll have to check with Henry Reissner at IM.
Check the Vs website for their pricing, but they generally run about $400.
check w Carolina at autosintl.net as they probably stitched your original.

i had a boot made there and it was a perfect fit. tom
thanks for the input guys
what's a typical install cost?
The " BOOK " says four hours at the going rate in your locale, but that seem like too many hours to me especially if the rear edge is all snap on. tom
Yeah, but they never come with the snaps installed because every car (it seems) has them different, so there's probably 1-1/2 or two hours of snap installation, alone, plus he/she has to glue the material to the header, etc..
Because the installer probably would see maybe one of these cars every five years and would go slowly with it to avoid mistakes, I don't think 4 hours sounds all that bad. I can do one in maybe three hours, and Dr. Clock can do one in maybe 2 hours as reference, but he's done a bunch of them.
Some in two hours others take double that time, no rhyme or reason...just the way it goes sometimes
