As a follow-up to my earlier posting (4lug to 5lug 5wide post), does anyone know where I can get Mangle's wheels for my conversion (15x5-1/2 5 wide pattern) ?

I understand that Mangle is no longer making the wheels, and that some are being manufactured in China.

My plan was to go to Kirk as VS to see what he suggested or had in stock, but any alternative sources or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks, Grant

GT-

We now manufacture our own wheels in Brazil.  They are more authentic than the China repros (reshaped window and offsets for Speedster and Spyder replicas) plus the lateral and radial runout is spot on.

We make 5.5" wide fives, 4.5" wide fives, and 5.5" 10 slot 4 lugs.  Powdercoated only, no chrome.

They are more expensive than the CIP wheels, BUT you get what you pay for.

I sell the wide five wheels to several suppliers so if you are on the West coast you'd save in shipping by buying from Kirk @VS or Sierra Madre.

FYI: All wide fives have clips for the popular hubcaps.  4 lug 10 slot wheels are made specifically for my own hubcaps only.

Marty,

I don't have anything in your 5x130 bolt pattern, however the Spyder 4.5" fronts have so much offset (to eliminate rubbing on lowered spyders and to tuck the wheels more like the original 550) that you could probably get away with a wide five adapter just for shows, and you'd never see it under a set of drum skins.  That said, I HATE adapters and you'll never hear me recommend them, thus the "just for shows"

Alternatively, you can run a set of 912 or 356C 5x130 steel wheels with Porsche caps and have the steel wheel look without an adapter.  Just a thought.  (and keep in mind I have NO idea what kind of caliper clearance you have)

Marty, I don't know if this applies to your Fuchs, but in order to mount faux Centerlines to my front disks I used 5/8" billet spacers to clear the calipers...and still had to grind about 1/8" off a outward protruding knob on the caliper casting.

No clearance problem with the rear disks... but they have different caliper casting than the front.
