Would it matter first of all what type of spindles or pivot pins exist on the car...a straight pin or a splined pin ?

yes it will make a difference on whether the shafts are splined or a straight pin type as to what wiper arms will work. My Speedster has an early model(58-64) wiper motor that has straight pin shafts...the wiper blades bolt on to the shaft with a captive screw down bolt on the wiper arm. Later models, I believe (65 on)use splined shafts or in some cases a slip on over the splines, then bolt down with a nut that is then covered buy a plug...Like Gtmans photo.

I'm pretty sure they are the ones with the B suffix. You have to put a bend in them and yes, you use two passenger side arms. They are not stainless like original but silver powder coat so when you bend the arms, be careful and go slow or you will crack the powder coat. Don't ask how I know!  I would like to get some stainless ones but couldn't find them anywhere new. Maybe The Samba has them good used.  To get silver blades, I had to get them from Sierra Madre, get the shortest ones that fit the hooked arms.
