BTW - the surf was reeeeeeeeaaallly good today, I love the fall time, summer crowd gone, kids are back in school,and the water is still warm!! Cabanaboy - Aloha spirit alive and well!!

A couple more Mavericks shots Desi. I once lived about two miles north of Mavericks and in the winter the pounding of the waves would shake the house.

Hmmmm? I'm surprised that none of you Southern California boys mentioned the infamous "Wedge," which is right in your own backyard. That's the Newport Beach jetty in the second picture and that's where I spent nearly everyday of summer vacation as a teenager growing up in Orange County. Not exactly the greatest for board surfing, but an incredible body surfing and belly boarding location when the westerly swells would bounce off the jetty and meet back up with the next wave peaking up to 20 feet and then breaking in about 3 feet of water! What a blast that was!!! I heard that the Army Corp of Engineers ruined it by dredging it out or something.

Looks like i can't make it that day also!!!! My wife planned to have dinner with some friends and didn't tell me. Desi can we hook up another day like maybe Saturday or Friday Oct. 3rd. Let us know, would be nice to hook up with you and Becky.
