Which manufactuer should i use?

Which manufactuer should i go with JPS or Thunder Ranch?

I don't want to sound rude but that's your own personal decision only after you've weighed all the pros & cons and your individual tastes and circumstances. JPS certainly makes a great pan based car and Thunder Ranch makes great frame based cars. Use the search utility here on this site as this topic has been discussed ad nauseum and you'll be able to find a lot of info. to make an intelligent decision. Good luck on your new acquisition.

no doubt in my mind. Henry is a bonus. And that is Intermeccanica.

Intermeccanicas are definitely worth the money. If you can't afford an IM, get a JPS.

Ditto to what Ron,Dale,Jim and Stan said, if not an Intermeccanica, than a JPS is a very fine choice.

Bob, probably the best approach for getting info on IMs (or any other 'brand') is to write the owners privately.

Bob, are you wanting an air-cooled car? Your answer should be YES, without hesitation or doubt. If your wanting one of these cars, but don't care if it is air-cooled or water-cooled then you should buy a water-cooled car.

IM is now taking orders for water cooled cars and SAW is building them, you should look at both in person. They both have their own strong and weak points, and you will figure out whats important to you.

Please be advised that many of the current owners are die-hard air-cooled guys and love these drivetrains and actually prefer them, while the vast majority of the general population would prefer a modern drivetrain. Which are you?

With Vancouver having received about three weeks (more?) of solid rain - and 6 more days predicted - I guess IM would be looking to build water-cooled replicas.

It's dry down here in Oklahoma so IM is also keeping the air cooled builds going, BC. ;)
