What is the best master cylinder for a Vintage Speedster with front disc brakes? And where to buy this item?

I bought mine from Bug City in Ct. They had several to choose from, Brazilian , German and the knock-off from you know where. I bought the Vargus from Brazil and it's been working fine for me. Not a fun job if you're over 2 feet tall. Luck
One should never scrimp on brake parts. You could buy Empi, but I wouldn't.

There are several different VW years and master cylinders that lend themselves to what you want.
If you call Bug City in Connecticut (1-888-BUGCITY (1-888-284-2489)) you'll get a real human being on the phone who knows what he/she is talking about. Tell them what you have for a brake set-up and they'll recommend the best Master cylinder for that application. You can then decide Chinese ($) , Brazilian ($$) or German ($$$$) and you'll have it in 2-3 days.
Gordon, even if one has no clue what year the cylinder currently used in a VS? Or, is it better to take the unit to the phone when calling and try to give them a description of the current unit?
Call Bug City and ask for Dave.
Personally i only use Ate or FTE masters.
Get a dual circuit master. And if you're car is single circuit, then convert it to dual.
^^^^^ What he said.
I have to add that TRW are a good 3rd place.
