There is no "set" length. Each engine is different.

Read this: http://www.compcams.com/information/Products/Pushrods/

And then fashion your own measuring push rod by cutting a rod (usually near an end) then remove about 1/2 inch from the longer piece. Thread each rod and insert a stud. Using this tool allows you to lengthen the test rod or shorten it depending on your geometry.

(Read the above web site and it will explain valve train geometry)
Ricardo, in a way you're correct but,,,,,,
Not necessarily true, A lot of things come into play. Fly cut heads, cylinders that have been cut. Cam manufacturer and grind used. Mating surface of the cases, type of rockers used, height of the valve stems etc etc.

None of which are directly related to the stroke of the crankshaft.

Back when VW was producing engines for the Bug, van, thing, KG etc. Just about every engine was exactly the same, thus the same length push rods. With the conglomeration of parts available in today's market, it really requires that proper measurements be taken on push rod length.
