If I'm not mistaken those are the gauges that came originally with the CMC kits. I don't think they're easy to find anymore; if you like white faces (although not original looking), I understand that VDO has them available in one of their series. The ivory knobs that you see on most replicas are just replacement old style VW knobs that look close to the original Porsche knobs.
thanks Ricardo, i googled VDO and they have an incredible selection, I guess its one area that I don't care about originality, they're just plain nice, and I have a few more gauges than most IN's I've seen, two small style to the right of the ignition switch, voltage and something else, haven't actually seen the car yet, this month I fly to Seattle, thanks agian for the tip
I had the CMC Vintage gauges in mine. Wish I had never cut the dash for them. The silver trim was just that silver --- not chrome. When sitting in the box they actually registered oil pressure and RPMS! I sold them only to discover that the openings are 1/8" too large for most of the VDO gauges (I have the Night Design for replacement with lighted needles -- they are NLA and, of course, I'm missing a temperature gauge). It's alot of work reglassing and then repainting the dash for that 1/8". VDO also had a Classic series as well as the VDO Cockpit series that have white faces. Check out the ones that CIP1 carries.
