Ryan Motors was a poor builder that got bought out by VS.

You may have to dismatle and rebuild that car to bring it up to a decent build. I suspect my cab was one of theirs. But it found it's way into good hands. The worst things I found were:

A passager rear wheel well with the back half made of pure bondo.

The front driver side wheel well was mis shaped, and the side rocker behind it.

The rear tunnel scection didn't have a prayer of matching up to the pan .

I fixed all of that mess.
Barry,
I have spoken to Kirk about Ryan, back when Ryan was just dieing. VS didn't buyout Ryan. There was no need to. I know of at least two customers who went to VS when Ryan wasn't finishing their car, Kirk felt so bad that he donated some of the parts they had paid for from Ryan so that they could finish. But there was never a business relationship between VS and Ryan.

Gary,
It's hard to tell from those pictures. The interior isn't from any Vintage I have ever seen and the top looks like a highbow, Vintage never used those. I can't tell from the profile picture since the car is black, but is the front tire pushed farther back in the wheel well? If so, this would be an indication of the vintage frame and body. CMC/Fiberfab tended to have the wheel more int he center of the wel.

In any case, there is an option in the registry for Ryan Motorsports, since they did put it together, despite where the body came from. You can buy parts from Vintage or JPS.

Thanks for the information gang. I sure hope I don't have to rebuild it. It drives like a dream and I don't see any waviness in the body when sighting down the sides. All the doors, engine cover and trunk lid fit well and close well. I wouldn't know a highbrow top from any other kind.

I think time will tell. Once again, I appreciate your input and knowledge.

Gary
