That's OK Julie you're lucky to be in the right place for a newbie.
It looks like it's still available for the West Coast Cruise (June 7-9). @msjulie, you should rent it and drive down the coast with a dozen more Speedsters on June 7.
Or save the money, buy Theron's IM Roadster D, and drive as long as you'd like.
Actually renting it has come to mind.. probably only a day though..
Re the Roadster D - it's a looker. I am somewhat a chicken on going through the CA registration bit..
If it's already registered in California it's a simple transfer and taxes, no?
