I'm sure that the answer will be that it could be a large number of manufacturers. But, I have to ask anyway. I love the look they achieved by lowering the car and putting these rims on it. I want to try to duplicate it in a different color. It must be a replica because I can't imagine someone doing this to an original. Although, anything is possible. Anyway, any thoughts on who manufactured it would be appreciated....

Thank you.

You could be right, Marty, it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong (just ask my wife). From the pics in his build collection I got the impression he's always run the silver wheels with no hubcaps and also had the driving lights on the front bumper since he's put the car on the street (which the car in the pic doesn't have). But I'm only going on what I've seen here. I've also had the pleasure of meeting Paul (he only lives a ferry ride away) and seeing the car in person, and as I said, the guy driving the car in the pic ain't him.

A quick tip for everyone. If you want to find more information on a photo right click on the photo and scroll down to where it reads, :Search Google for this Image" then click on that.  Google will search the internet for the photo and show you other places it has been posted.  Many times you will find an article or something that explains it in more detail.  For instance I went to the Pintrest photo , right clicked it, and searched and found several other articles on this car including a YouTube Video of it.

The car appears to be from Mexico. It also appears to have re-pinned (I think that's what Pintrest users say) about a thousand times.

If someone wants to they could email the guy and ask him about it. His email address is carroceriasclasicas@Hotmail.com

Thanks for the responses. I hope to join you guys soon as a speedster owner. I have come close to buying one many time but didn't pull the trigger. I will soon.

I don't think it is mangosmoothie either. But, I do love that car too.

And, thanks for the tip on image search. But, in Forefox, you need a plugin to do it...

....just in case anyone is trying it but doesn't have the option.

Art,

That is a great idea. I can't put the money towards it right now. I am in the middle of a launch of a new website. Until that is running smoothly, I am limiting any additional expenses.

But, I will definitely do what you have suggested when I am ready. I really do appreciate the idea. I hadn't considered it. I have always just searched Ebay and other classified sites.

I'm not around here much anymore.  i still have the speedster, but i am working on Mango Smoothie 2.  i should probably post something about that as i have been building it for 1.5 years.

that is actually a guy in sweeden (maybe he sold it to a dood in Mexico, or is there another one that looks like it?).  I connected with the builder after i finished my build.  he doesnt have air suspension (pretty sure) and still rocks the whitewalls.  Language barrier, but our conversations were friendly.   i have driving lights and correct beehive turns.  IIRC, he has tear-drops instead of beehives out back.  Sweet build for sure!  love that colour!!

That wheel setup looks like 15" smoothies with cooker wide whitewalls.
