Jim, I have one of these. Heavy and good quality. I also added one from Tail of the Dragon last fall, but I feel like I actually earned that one :-), plus that run turned Natalie into Miss May 2013. I can see that I need to straighten my registry badge a tad when I get it back. It's up a little high on the left side.

Here is a Nurburgring I found that is super high quality and the colors are correct. I'll try to find the link later. There are cheapo ones that are easy to find but this one was difficult. I'll check at work.

There are any variety of badges offered on Ebay. You can also look at some of the Speedster suppliers.
Lots of ideas.
Try: comet products.com (400 different badges, I bought a military one and it is of real good quality) arteauto.com for obscure stuff. Many other sources when you google auto grill badges. Also look at Sierra Madre Collection, they have a couple.
German car badge . com has ya covered and they are the real deals. I have 2 of the ADAC black and gold eagle on the ivory badge But its to nice to leave in the car very collectable. i caught some one at work try to steal one of my bug a few years ago i took it off an its here

Thanks for all the replies. Marty that is a very nice badge that looks great. And Tom I saw that last summer on Natalie, and I have been thinking about badges after seening yours. I am looking for one that would be period correct.
Thanks again for the help.
Sierra Madre Collection has both the ADAC and the Nurburgring repops on sale right now.
Sierra Madre one is cheap at 39.00, but I don't recommend it. Let me find the one I purchased for 75.00. Back to you soon.
Here you go Marty
Thanks Marty & Joe!
they had one simualr to mine but with a gear tooth edging Its a repo and it ony $20.oo A great deal if it can holdup to weather and sun
Marty's is clearly better looking than the one Sierra Madre sells. If authenticity is your goal, than Marty's direction is the way to go. IMHO
Its all in what you want it for
I found an Emergency Responder one a couple years ago for Cory's Hoopty via ebay shipped from Germany. Note the UK AA (That's Automobile Association not Alcoholics Anonymous) in my logo picture. One of my British relatives gave me when I had an MGC. For my retirement to Florida I got the FOG one.

I bought an ADAC one from Sierra Madre and it was a piece of junk. I never put it on and pitched it awhile back.
I put a 1959 badge on my IM Conv D replica. I think it's neat to put a badge on that is the year you are replicating or shortly there after. The best reliable source I have found is Michael Keil from Germany - http://www.ebay.com/sch/michael_keil/m.html?_ipg&_from&_nkw&_armrs=1&_sop=10
You should be able to get a nice on for under $100 + $12 shipping. You can occasionally pick up other bargains for other ebay vendors. You just have to keep looking.
I have attached a photo of the wine ralley badge I have on my IM and some of my collection. The collection pic are not all mounted on the car. It is a poster pic I took of my grill for displaying the badges. There is a silver version of the '59 badge I have mounted on my car if you like silver. The '61 badge was expensive and I haven't seen another one since I bought it.

Those are works of art more than grille badges. Really Beautiful. I just looked at the e-bay site noted above and it looks like the seller has the mother lode of great badges. Hundreds of really cool badges, many of them 356 oriented. Need inspiration for badge design, this might be the place. Pricey but really interesting!
Reminds me of the old badge from this site with the motto "Live Fast, Die Young"
Or the extremely limited edition badge from Carlisle in 2006
Gordon, what what it take to get a 10th anniversary one done? Same design maybe just a color change.

I'm fortunate to have that one in my car....
"Gordon, what what it take to get a 10th anniversary one done? Same design maybe just a color change."
That would be up to East Coast Bruce to do it this year, but the delivery lead time with "just a color and date change" would put us past the Carlisle dates and into July or August at best.

Me? I'm too busy writing my memoirs to get involved with this topic. Besides, this is a tough crowd
IM Roadster, Thanks I would like to find the badge with the grapes. The colors look good.
Whit,
Just keep looking on the ebay web site I have posted. If you're referring to the '59 badge I've seen that in silver also. You might want to contact the Michael Keil and see if he has what you're looking for and will list it or sell it to you direct. If you decide to bid on a badge let me know because often I bid and if I get great but if I don't ok and I don't want to run up the bidding on you.

Thanks IM will do
