Folks,
Was recently in Sarasota, FL, and stopped in to a really nice store and museum. All manne rof cars on display anbd for sale. Perhaps more pix later as time and energy allow. But here is something of interest. An air cooled, horizontally opposed gasoline engine ca. 1908, says here. Please notice the single barrel updraft carb, and the very finely wrought and no-doubt tuned exhaust system, made, if I am not mistaken, out of galvanized 1.5 pipe. Need help w/ this? Call a plumber. No shot of the "car" as this was little more than a buckboard w/ four large stage coach-style wheels.
