I brought this subject up on another topic the other day and did get some feed back, however, I'm still puzzled. I need new wiper blades for my Beck Speedster. Someone suggested that Carey Hines suggested putting Bosch blades on that you can get at NAPA. I called all the local NAPA shops here and none have them around here carry Bosch. Then I started looking closely at the wipers themselves. They don't have those simple pull-off plastic clips (sorry, I'm not up on my wiper blade terminology) found on many of today's cars. Do I need to replace the whole arm? I remember removing the nut last summer and the arm didn't want to budge off that bolt. Can I just find replacement rubber blades for this type of arm which has a "Dyna" stamp on them. Wiper blade manufactures need some common standard. Sure seems to be way too much jackin' around for something this basic.

They just slide off, but you have to pry open the end where the clamps go into the blade.  That's on the right side of the arm nearest the shaft.  When you put the new ones on, carefully press the tabs on that end back together a bit to hold the blade in place.

I have yet to find any aftermarket ones that look like they will fit, so I've gotten mine from Carey.  However, if he says Bosch will work, that's what I would go for - if you can find 'em.

These are probably Brazilian-style arms.  Buying replacement VW arms might allow you more choice in blades.  Heck, on the real Speedsters they were silver anyway.

Rich,

I replied during the week on the wiper blades.  Carey gave me a website http://www.jbugs.com/product/40710.html to order them; however, I called my local NAPA and they were able to get them delivered to the store via the warehouse in about 2 hours.

The blades come with an assortment of connectors.  I was able to free the blade from the arm by slightly widening the clamps and depressing slightly and they slid right off.
