@Safety Jim Buffalo NY. .... Hey Jim makes these.... right Jim Just a quick release lever from a bike shop...

Yup, a seat binder bolt, quick release. I think the military mechanics called them, "Zeus bolts." I bet you could find them for about 5 bucks, USD.
Yes but seat binder bolts would not have the "Positivo" or "Negativo" stickers on them. That's what makes these worth the $$$...
I also like the added two direct connect posts.
Now why didn't I think of that )
Now if they incorporated a place on that lever to clamp a jumper cable, that'd be next level.
That is a lot of exposed metal with a positive charge, though.
"el Zappo, Ultimo"!

Exactly my concern. Methinks it needs some sort of a cover.
I found a QR seatpost bolt for $1.15 on evilbay with free shipping.
I agree with Carlos that although nice, that's a bunch of exposed and charged metal, just waiting for something to touch to a ground.
@Carlos G : don't your jumper cables have a permanent quick connect? I have a set of connectors that I've been meaning to install for about 5 years now. I never get around to it....
There would be a way to coat the connectors with rubber dip coating or thick heat shrink
Spot on Ray, dip it in that rubbery stuff that the guy on T V used to make a boat out of his screen door! ;-0 It may not meet the ASTM standard for insulated voltage tools. However, it may prevent a short! Or, an arc to your fuel line!!!! Yikes!!!!!!
Actually Jim, I think it would be a good fit if you want to remove your battery and easily adjustable. I bought 4-1 shrink with really heavy wall and I use to fix different things where the cable will start to frey. Shrinks downs really well around a form and Works like a charm the wall is like thick plastic. I stopped having to call Apple et al for replacment parts when I fixed the weak point.

Where did you get that shrink tube, Ray ?
You can pick it up or order it from Harbor Freight or any electrical distributor in your area..

Thanks for that, Jim but no Harbor Freight in Ottawa. Many distributors typically carry less variety in our non tech town. Ray ?
@David Stroud IM Roadster D I bought some shrink stuff at princess auto but they usually have only the 2 to1 shrink... At Gervais Electronics you can find 3 to 1 and I think 4 to 1. Allied as well might have it off Merivale.
4 to 1 is not cheap. I found a piece on AlieExpress from China, for not much money and I waited a bit to get it... If you only need a bit I can give you some.
@David Stroud IM Roadster D ok if you can wait a bit ... you can order from HERE 4 to 1

Thanks for the info, Ray. Don't need any right now but just needed to know where to get it when the time comes. I'm down around Gervais while visiting my Mom so I'll check it out.
Just for laughs...Diotte Hydraulic is near Gervais. I needed new hydraulic lines for the relocation of the helm on my boat two years ago. I needed two runs of 24' with end fittings. I called around and got prices of $385 and $366. Diotte quoted $265. I gave them my Visa number and said I'd pick it up the next day. I got there and they had one hose ready for $265. I said no....I need two and that was told to the guy giving me the price. They asked but I couldn't remember his name. Much scrambling behind the desk. The owner came out and asked it I'd pay $300 cash for two and I had that exact amount in my wallet and gave it to him. He said come back in 1/2 hour. I said Shyt...no money now for lunch and he gave me $20 back. $20 gets one jug and some attention at a local nearby.....
You could order it now it takes 6 weeks to arrive a few bucks only around $20 at Gervais
