Gorgeous car, Vince. I would buy that car if I had the spare change. Why are you selling?

My godmother had a '55 when I grew up. She told me she would give it to me when I turned 18, yea right!!! All I got was to drive it and I must say it was the biggest POS to drive. No power anything and it's a lot heaver than a Speedster. Drove like a tank!!!
Have you thought of a Regal T-Bird?? Its a replica built in Northern CA using modern Mustang running gear. GT running gear on a fiberglass body would be almost as fun as a Speedster.

I have seen some Speedsters for sale with almost no miles and it drives me crazy, but check this one out.
This dork spent 80 thousand for a Replica T-bird with 300HP and sells it with only 130 miles for 17K ????? Vince troll for something like this, you can always get it painted.

I once saw a 57 T-Bird body mounted on a VW chassis. That's probably not what you had in mind?
Regal always has several cars at Carlisle - all of which look much better than this one. Something tells me that this was a home built.

The T-Bird Replicas at Carlisle looked OK walking up to them, but one look at the dash and aftermarket instruments screamed YUCK!

I have seen a Regal T Bird with the correct dash gauges, looks great!

Vince, if that T bird in Mass. is re-listed on E-bay or whatever I would be happy to zip over there and take a few thousand photos for you. I have to go right by there anyway. Happy hunting.
Terry, funny thing is the buyer may be gay....sure seems that way, but his money is still green...
Al, thank's bud....I'm on a mission to find the "Pink Lady" for Teri.
of course I'm not to crazy about spending 50-60K for one...
currently bidding on a local one on Ebay....

Vince,
I've owned a couple of 57 Birds....watch out for rust in the front fender dog legs and in lower rear quarter panels.
Good luck, Rich

vince,
It is hard for me to damn a guy for a T-Bird, Since I have owned a '77, 2-'83's and a '61 and a '63, I do know these birds.
I still own a "61 and my ex-girlfriend owns the second '83. I learned alot from my older brother who has a '56. 1st, uhmmm,
The '83's handle like modern cars and run well, the '77 was junk,
The 61' and the '63 's were GLORIOUS, As I mentioned earlier I still have the '61. Parts for all of these are readily available,
Steering for the 1961 had to be upgraded and the brakes are just horsesh-t old Ford drum brakes with a power assist. The 1956 T-Bird actually has "mechanical" brakes. Stopping at 40 miles per hour in the '56 is a "stand-up" procedure! I learned from the 1956, that that vehicle is designed for 45-55 mph-tops! They are beautiful but not practical unless you go replica with a fresh chassis, fresh drivetrain. 55-57 also has a 1 piece Budd engineering body, --you have to be aware that rust just Loves these cars! If i owned my brother's 1956 , I wouldn't change anything 'cause it is in original condition, The important thing is I probably wouldn't drive it , cause it doesn't handle well - for what it's worth -tim

Dusk Rose was only offered in 1957. All 57's had the port hole. port holes became available mid year 56...1956 was the only year where continental kits were offered, but of course you can get an after market one for any year....
By all means inquire as to price/year etc.
I am in the process of moving into my mothers house which means new paint/carpet etc, and will most likely put the T Bird on hold for a while and also selling El Diablo, too many other things going on..

Thunderbirds are special to me. Vince, you hurt my feelings.
Oh I'm so sorry Timothy, I would never intentionally hurt anyone's feelings....Butt, I am "El Diablo" and I do have a reputation to uphold......
So...
