NOT MINE. Says its early IM but I don't think they made a wide body so my guess is FF/CMC. No photos of IM build sticker. I like the modern looking spoked wheels - seats not so much.

I've owned two IM flared roadsters and this is not one. 100% CMC.
That car needs spacers to push the wheels farther out, or wider wheels.
Skinny tires/wheels look weird on a wide body.
I agree, Ron; no need to for all that swoopy fiberglass if you're not going to run the wider rubber. I don't usually like more modern wheels on Speedsters, but I have to admit I like them on this car. Al
At one time I thought about putting a set of those (Boxster 16" wheels) on my IM. While my car was at Henry's we put a 16X6 Boxster wheel with a 205/50 tire on the back to see if it would fit. With some fiddling it would have, but to me the wheel didn't look right on my car. I don't know why, but it looks much better on that wide body.
Yeah, I don't know what it is Ron; widebodies don't usually appeal to me (someone once called one a "fat chick in a thong" and most of the time that's what I think about when I see one; see, I need to go wash my eyes out already...), but I like the look of this one. Maybe because they're close to the deep pewtery silver color of the car (which I don't usually care for but looks so right on this car)? I'm really not sure what it is. And yeah, they do need to be wider; some 6's and 7's (or 7's and 8's)?
Bill's (crhemi) in Hawaii is another one that I like as well (there are others, but I can't think of them right now).
High quality 6061 T6 Billet aluminum spacers on the back would work.
74 Super Beetle?
You can use a SB pan (most of it anyhow) either by swapping out the front portion for a std bug piece with the H beam or welding in replacement std bits. CMC also made a conversion kit which is documented in their build manual. I'm sure CMC kit would be hard to come by today but you could contact Kevin at Coolrydes for his Mendeola front end.
