NOT MINE!  Providance is it was Miss Idaho 1977 car!  Could use some air sealing in engine compartment.  Check the remote air cleaner.

Ya - mine is also out of the engine bay and away from heat Rusty! I am also looking into changing out the rubber hose for some other more substantial fuel line material. I was told that the hard metal lines are also prone to cracking and therefore fuel potentially dangerous fuel spills because they are not flexible. Doing some research to see what makes the best/safest fuel line, but bottom line - frequent maintenance checks no matter what material is used makes for safe rides...and a good Halon or other fire suppression system of course.

You're right, Art, there are a couple of different things about that engine. On the right side of the shroud (just above the heater air horn) is the regulator, but the shroud face seems to be shaped a little bit differently just above the top coil mount?

And I have no clue what the dipstick is doing way over there!

 

And as Troy noted when you can see the ground through the engine compartment it's not good; and in this one, you can see a lot of ground...
