Many newbies do not realize there is a difference between the flared versions of Speedsters, because at first glance it can be very suttle. Basically, there are three different versions of flared Speedsters.
Two of those versions were made and sold by Vintage Speedsters. A mild flared version typically referred to as a Widebody and a wider version typically referred to as a Super Widebody.
The third version was made by Classic Motor Carriages (CMC) and FiberFab and was marketed as the California model, but is also frequently referred to as a Widebody.
Unless you have been looking at these cars for awhile it can be difficult to distinguish the difference, but they are different.
The flared Speedster I will be selling at auction in March is a Super Widebody version and you can see pictures, video and all the details on my website, www.replicaspeedsters.com
