Many newbies do not realize there is a difference between the flared versions of Speedsters, because at first glance it can be very suttle.  Basically, there are three different versions of flared Speedsters.

Two of those versions were made and sold by Vintage Speedsters.  A mild flared version typically referred to as a Widebody and a wider version typically referred to as a Super Widebody.

The third version was made by Classic Motor Carriages (CMC) and FiberFab and was marketed as the California model, but is also frequently referred to as a Widebody.

Unless you have been looking at these cars for awhile it can be difficult to distinguish the difference, but they are different.

BTW - Your Super Widebody is beautiful and I hope to buy/build an electric version sometime in the future with that exact styling.

I haven't been on this site long, but you appear to be the widebody Jedi Master.

I called Vintage Speedsters yesterday and they said they only have one widebody and only sale turn-key cars. They also stated that they don't sale their Speedster bodies to anyone else.

Vintage Motorcars does have both widebody and super widebody versions (see below). Did you mean to say that JPS gets their bodies from Vintage Motorcars?

Regardless, I'm trying to figure out how wide the widebody and super widebody Speedster are from fender lip to fender lip in the front and rear.

Sorry, it is confusing because Vintage Speedsters was sold and moved to Arizona in 2018.  Prior to that, they controlled the molds for the two widebody versions and JPS bought widebody cars from Vintage Speedsters. After the sale of Vintage Speedsters in 2018, Vintage Motorcars of California Inc. acquired control of the molds.

You can't just stretch a tape across the car to get the measurements you want, but I'll see what I can do.
