CMC stopped production of kits in around 92-93 so you'd be looking at a used car or unfinshed kit. (FiberFab their predecessor also had a flared Speedster). There are a lot out there --- despite the sales brocheur claiming a build time of 40 hours (must be Biblical hours!) CMC sold mainly the kit (various stages of finish - like doors mounted or not) and not turn key cars. So finish dependent on builder. The body was color gel coated fiberglass which can be wet sanded and polished to a durable high gloss (saving $1k or so in having to paint it). Check the makers tab here. StreetBeasts - the follow on to CMC sold one up until very recently. Check www.samba.com for "rusty tubs" they have old FF/CMC molds and sell kit pieces too. Check ebay too.
I could be mistaken on the thunder ranch wide body. Some of the widebody speedsters I have found on ebay or traderonline don't look right. It seems alot of them are too jacked up in the back. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on which one might look the best. (like a real speedster that has been flared instead of someones interpretation) if that makes any sense. Thanks for the replies so far guys.
