Will a real 356 engine cover fit?

I have been wanting to fit a twin-vent engine lid on my speedster for a while now and keep seeing ads for 1960's engine covers. Does anyone know if any of these models are the same dimensions as the speedster?

I feel pretty confident in saying No, an original won't fit. That said there is a guy on here somewhere (look in classifieds) that makes them. I think his name is Steve?

That looks like your best bet. You are in Belize right? Was in Belize scuba diving last year. You must alter your profile and give us pics of your country and location.

Not without a tremendous amount of work. First you need a roadster engine lid the coupe has a totally diffe3rent profile. Then the hinges and latch areas would need to be modified. Easier to make a mould of yours and modify it.

Thanks guys that's what I thought. I will drop Steve an email as this is what I am looking for. I should upload some photo's, but at the moment all my parts are in N.California so I dont have anything to show. I keep making trips to Cali to buy various parts and I hope to ship everything to Belize this year. Where did you dive David? I have lived in Belize for eight years and have only dived once, its a sin I know, but I was spoiled after living in Papua New Guinea before.
