I have a VS Speedster with the chrome wheels.  I saw these nipple caps with crest on Klasse 356 and I wondered if they would fit my wheels?  The descriptions says:

Hubcap, WITH Crest. Fits 356A & B Super drum brake cars.

This hubcap was standard equipment on all models with Super and Super 90 engines and optional on all other models. The center crest is gold-plated with fired enamel colors.

I don't know if all of the early VW and Porsche hub caps were the same size?

Thanks if anyone knows!

Most likely not.  Porsche always used 5 lug wheels - whether the wide 5 or smaller 5 lug pattern.  Other than pre 67 wide 5 VW wheels - VW wheels are 4 lug.  The mounting method  mounting is different too. Many Porsche rims used riveted on hold clips vs the nubs on the 4 lug VW wheel too (early VW used the clips too). Assume you have 4 lug wheels - so you'd need caps for 4 lug wheels.  Years ago you could buy TAIWAN replica caps complete with replica PORSCHE crests ($20 each) - but not for last 15 years or so (copyright issue).  CIP1 sells a nipple cap with EMPI crests.  You can remove the EMPI crest and replace with a replica or real PORSCHE wheel crest. EMPI means keep it waxed inside and out!

Search for recent thread though as some VS wheels seem to throw hub caps. This seems to be with recent wheels only.  Check Annaliese's issues with them.

I had following semi-nipples (from JC Whitney) on 20 year old chrome Brazilian Mangels (not Chinese ones). Still have one for spare (which of course doesn't fit in trunk). Note how early one has STUTTART on crest and later repro is blank there.

I wouldn't expect much quality for $30 each.  I'd use good carabu wax on front and edges and POR15 or Rustoleum on the back.  As I was typing my initial reply - I recalled an old SOC article on same topic - not sure what final install actually looks like but the original caps are superior to latest repros. (I still like using the 914 stainless steel cap and adding an OEM crest).
