Hi All,

Just wanted to share my experience with member, Bruce Williams, and his Wind Wings.

I came across Bruce’s products for Speedsters and, after inquiring with him, I bought the Wind Wings he offers. I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed from the beginning with my purchase.
  - First, it arrives within 2 days of placing my order.
  - It was very well packed and professionally packaged.

  - The quality of the parts is superb. Looks great, like it was made by Vintage Speedsters for their builds.

  - It was super easy to install (and easy to remove).

It works! It deflects the wind and stays in place at highway speeds.

This product is so good that I’m now considering ordering Bruce’s Sun visors. If I do I will post a review of that as well. Attached are some pics of the wind wings on my car.

It's a little aluminum trim piece that goes around the base of the center windshield support bracket where it goes thru the top of the dashboard. It was held in place by a very small set screw.  Before that all there was was a little washer laying there that sort of flopped around to cover the entrance hole thru the upholstery..........Bruce

PS....Kirk used a 5/16" diameter support rod and Greg uses a 1/4" diameter rod.

Tom....I don't have a website yet.  Once I have paid for my Spyder being built by Greg at VMC I will have a website built. Perhaps I will call it    "SOS".   for  "Speedster Owner Sparkle" or maybe just call it "BRUCE".  In the mean time, in the next few days, I will post photos and descriptions of all my stuff, both new and old.

For example, I just authorized my CNC guy to carve out a new bracket that is similar to the one for my Wind Wings but will have a really nice 4" diameter round rear view mirror attached.     It will allow the mirror to be positioned exactly where it's supposed to be (900mm up and back from the center of front wheels) This means NO HOLES need to be drilled in the door. An extra benefit is you can add Wind Wings to it as well !  All of which will allow the top and side curtains to be deployed as well !   It will mount on the right or left side too !

Anyway .......Thanks to you all for the positive comments and check out my "stuff" when I post it soon !.............Bruce

Bruce, you'd have to go to great lengths to save the kind of weight my car's builders did. They didn't miss a trick.

Few notice it, but they trimmed significant ounces eliminating the rubber gaskets under the horn grill trim rings and engine lid grill.

Interior carpeting looks 'normal', but has been shaved to a remarkably thin weight.

Even in places where you can't see, like inside electrical switches, they've been hard at work. They rejected using heavy copper contacts and replaced them with the thinnest possible parts, fashioned of exotic pot metal alloys.

Not understanding how comprehensive this weight-saving program was at first, when I first took delivery I made the mistake of trying to use the interior door handles to open the doors. The delicate 'show only' works of art crumpled in my hands.

But this was all in the interest of speed and the exhaustive lightening program accomplished its desired goal. With the stock 1915cc mill, the car was fast right out of the box!

@aircooled   Bruce call it "Wings n Things"

That is EXACTLY what they call the open wheel/SRF race group. It's a kind of catch-all group for the cars that don't have large race groups.

You know, 3-4 SRFs, a couple Formula Fords, maybe a Formula Atlantic, then a couple Formula Vees.

Thankfully we have enough subscription to have our own group in the Northeast.

Thread drift over, back to your wind wings stuff...
