What are the dimensions of the rail that goes on top of the door, and accepts the side curtain peg?

Is the location of the peg critical?

My CMC kit has a hokey little fiber bit, but I want to make one more like the original

Since I am in Thailand I am thinking of using teak due to the high rot resistance, and screwing it to the PVC door panel from the back side

I have no idea what the dimensions were for that.  literally cut a piece of wood until it sits flush with the door closed.

then drill in the hardware.  i wanted hidden hardware - which i assume you have seen if you are posting that pic.

measure and drill for side window holes - you will have to account for the thickness of the vinyl on the insert receptacles)

then wrap in vinyl (stretch / staple)

slice an X in for each of the side window insert receptacles

then attach to door from the inside

then install door panel.

then drink beer and repeat...

then do the other door.

LANE;

i have tried on numerous occasions to re-set my doors, to alleviate the door/body rubbing issue with CMC's. I have hung many residential doors, some successfully, but in my car NOT SO MUCH. I think you have a Beck's and I not sure how the doors and jambs line up between our two cars.  But you your door stop looks like a winner from here.  Where did you get these piece wise, and any information you can pass on.

Regards form the left coast;
