The price is about right for what you get. I think the pivot adjustment is a little crude and unstable though.

The photos below are what I'm building right now. They will be available in about a month. I have redesigned the Hinge to look better as well.  The standard color for the wings is clear with the border line etching but no Porsche crest.  The sun visors will come in opaque black, blue and transparent bronze. Any visors which are transparent will have the border line etching. Both the wings and visors are removable with an Allen wrench while sitting in your seat..........Bruce

Troy & Robert.....Yup ! Those are mine. They were my prototypes and were on my car when I was at the VS shop one day.  John, the owner of that car had his car there for some work and really pressed me to buy them right there on the spot. I succumbed.  I have had quite a few inquiries from people who saw them at the SEMA Show. Also I took note of a few suggestions to improve the general appearance of them which are incorporated in the final design..........Bruce

PS: most of the cockpit wind that you might find tiresome after a few hours on the interstate w/ the top down comes from behind -- the vortex over the windshield.  Which is why many modern rag tops (e.g., the Boxter) have a vertical screen behind the cockpit.  I've been thinking about how to do that for the Speedster, off and on.  Would have to be stowable in the back seat when top was up, or maybe even hooked in such that the top could come up or down either way.  Maybe one of you more clever types can put your creative energies into something like that.  The screen material has to block the wind, but not all of the light, so you can see out the back w/ the mirror.  Get something cool here, and I imagine the market to be BIG.

Frazoo..... Yeah I notice the wind on the back of my head too. I did notice a slight reduction by flipping the visors all the way up. However, a weird thing happens. My visors are transparent red ( slightly darker than the SAE spectrographic number for standard taillight color) and in that position I have to look thru them to watch for a signal light to change. The green signal light is canceled out by the red visor so I never see it change to green. It looks like it's black, or off ! I had people behind me honk at me before I figured that one out.

Another weird thing. Well maybe not too weird. I have never had my top up since I put the car on the road. I think the speedo says close to 3Km now. There's been a few times I wished I had put it up on an early morning drive though.

I wonder if a tastefully cut piece of clear acrylic attached to the roll bar right behind the seats would work?..........Bruce

AC Bruce: If you have roll bars, you are in like Flynn, my man.  You have the perfect mounting support and location.  A little plexi (or whatever) fastened there and you will be amazed at the difference when top down cruisin'.  Might could cheap out on the attachment and just use Velcro, maybe.  Easy on, easy off. I've been thinking that w/out roll bars, if you could use the mounting bolts for the top, somehow, and a brace down to the back shelf, maybe that would do it.  If clever enough, might be able to have it so the top could go up quick if it happened to rain.  Us east coasters have to think about such things.
