fibersteel sells windows like this. they were required in California so that people could use hand signals when turning and braking. Pretty sure thats the story. I called Russ 3 years ago asking about his product. I was told they would not fit a replica. Problem is all manufcturers have different tops/bows specific to their speedsters. A TR top is not the same as a Beck. I have access to a laser cutter and have been working on the shape of the plexiglass pieces to cut. Im still trying to source the metal for the frame. any info would be appreciated.
Paul: Try E-J Enterprises in Glen Burnie. Lots of stainless and aluminum stock & they can tell you what it is (i.e. type 316 stainless or 6061 aluminum, etc.) 'cause it's all scrap from big jobs they've done for big customers. Reasonable rates, good service. You walk in and the stuff is sorted in bins. You can grab it or ask the dude behind the counter to help you find what you're after.

If you go any time soon could you maybe get me an 8-10-inch square of quarter-inch aluminum? (got an itch to re-do Bridget's steering wheel hub). I'll reimburse.
This could be done to fit a CMC,FiberFab, VS, JPS as they have the similar top configurations and covers a lot of speedster ownership. With some hunting, the double track base probably could be sourced as mfg'd.
Where to money comes into play is the that the upper radius would have to be done with a stamp die, not impossible but there is cost of making the initial die run. I've talked with my machine shop friend and if this were to be done, he would need to make 24 sets to make it worth while.
