Are you looking to add wind up windows? It's not as "simple" as just cutting a slot in the door and bolting in the regulators, glass and tracks. The real problem (cost) is that those with wind up windows use a different windshield (including the corner posts and their placement)--- this also affects the convertible top which would have to be replaced. If you look at those with wind up windows the top is taller than the speedster top. Check out the CMC Windup option attached.

Elementary my dear Watson... their conversion uses a convertible "D" type windshield so you will probably also need a new top.

My CMC has roll up windows - with a speedster windshield yet. Sure looks like VW regulators to me, but I'm no expurt
