windsheild mounting

anyone have any closeup pics of how windsheild post meet top and bottom of windsheild trip. having trouble making it fit back together.

Are you using the same posts and frame that you removed?

yes, using all of the same parts except glass.

I would advise makeing a cardboard tracing of the old one. Then see if it matches the new one. the glass could be different..

If it is different you may be sending it back with your tracing so they can match it..

There are more than one style CMC VS And JPS may have didderent glass patterns.

also differnet tints are avalible The green tints glass was stock for these cars

Is there a brand name on the glass packaging or lower left corner ?

This is strange, I was just reading about a guy trying to put Beck glass in a CMC widebody. He was having trouble getting it to fit.

i appreciate the help. i have a CMC and ordered the glass from beck. carefully checked the size of new and old. after several attempts finally got it installed. had to deal with the builders lack of expertise, but it worked.

cool... I kind of dread fitting my new glass. I'm living with the small crack for now...

I've now replaced four or five CMC windshields with Beck supplied glass.

2 wide bodies, 2 stock bodies and one that I can't remember what the heck it was.

All of them fit perfectly.

Would a windshield from jps fit on a cmc?

JPS VS CMC Special Edition are the same.

I installed a Beck windshield on my used and abused CMC..... The only fit problems were caused by previous builders destruction of post holes..... When I glassed them and drilled new holes, I was off a little, but was able to enlarge the holes to accomodate the fix..... The glass fit the frame perfectly....

I found that the easiest way to assemble the windshield package was to install the top gasket, then the frame, and lastly the bottom gasket..... Taking a hint from the DOC, I used spots of silicone rubber to help hold everything together while doing the install.... After it cures, the silicone removes easily from rubber and a razor blade will clean the glass....
