Hi everyone! I am in need of a replacement windshield for my Intermeccanica Speedsteer manufactured in the 80s on a 68 bug frame! Does anyone know of a way to get a replacement windshield? The frame and seals all look good we just cracked the windshield! Any help would be appreciated. We are located in southern ca .

Since you are in Huntington Beach CA, Id contact Vintage Motor Cars in Hawaiian Gardens, CA. $429. Less than 20 miles from you so you can pick up and save the extra cost of crating and shipping. I'd just get them to install it - if you have never installed on before.

Hi Wolfgang, thanks for the reply . I contacted them and they won't work on any car that isn't made by them. Also their windshield kit is completely the wrong size for an Intermeccanica! To use their windshield I have to remove my frame and fill the holes install their kit and repaint the car just to make the windshield fit!?! I wish it could be that simple .. I have purchased many pets from them and they are great but can't help me on this one ...
Then there's Beck SE in Bremen In - know they fit CMC which is same as early IMs.

But I thought all Speedster windshields were the same for Original Factory Porsche speedsters and Replica Speedsters .
Supposedly! But for instance the vintage motor cars in Hawaiian gardens ca , won't fit the intermeccanica, the beck speedster windshield assembly won't fit on the Hawaiian gardens models, the becks fit the early intermeccanica etc etc , who knows if the original spec glass and frame assembly lines up with the intermeccanica holes etc etc .. just looking to find out which I need to order to make the repair without having to drill new holes and to make sure the glass fits my frame.. so many variables and most automotive glass guys won't even touch this because they don't have any experience with it .. such a pain
I too thought all Speedster windshields were the same (although some may have different tinting/shading). They all seem to measure 12 7/8" at center.
Vintage Speedster Parts - no relation to VMC or VS. They are somewhere in Calif. $394 plus $80 handling plus shipping.

The people at Vintage motor cars are truly first rate and amazing. They graciously offered to fix my windshield . Amazing since it's not even made by their company ! The customer service at Vintage Motorcars is great! They are super nice and very helpful! If you need parts on Southern CA I recommend them highly! Thanks again Vintage Motorcars ....
Great! It's always risky shipping a glass windshield. It's risky too to have it installed by one who hasn't done a dozen. I had one delivered with forklift arms having pierced the shipping crate! Argh.
