I have a CMC speedster I’m making into an outlaw and I’m down to the windshield. I ordered the bottom rubber and it’s to small it’s for a 1/8 “ windshield and the one in the car is 1/4 “ every place I checked only has one size and I’m guessing it’s the small one. Before I get a pile of small ones does anyone know where to get the larger one.

Where are you buying them from?
AFAIK, the windshields we all use are 1/4” thick. The bottom rubber gasket from both Vintage Motorcars Inc and Beck should fit.
I found that the Stoddard lower rubber is more pliable and grasps the glass well. 64454190240 Bottom Windshield Seal. Fits all 356 Speedster. 64454190240 644-541-902-40 (stoddard.com)
I called Stoddart last week trying to find out about this. They would put me onto a salesman and I leave a message but they haven’t called me back yet. I’ll try again. I believe they’re the ones that supply most of the parts supply houses with these.
The Stoddard lower rubber is a bit narrower than others that's why it's more pliable and easier to work the glass into. I start it dry on one end of the glass and use a rubber mallet gently tapping it onto the glass.
I ordered one from Stoddart this morning so we’ll find out if this works. Thanks for the input.
@Nogg, did you get the Stoddard bottom rubber and install it?
