Windshield position

Recently bought a second project speedster that has the windshield installed but is about 1 1/4" back from the wiper pivot holes instead of the correct 1/2-5/8" set back.
Anyone have their windshield set back as far as the 1 1/4"mentioned? I haven't run into this before and wonder if it will be ok or will I have problems as I go along in this build? The only concern that I can see is a side curtain fit but then, they are "flexible" in their fit.
Still a week plus away from paint so, it can be moved forward if need be, but would rather not chance a windshield move.

Your thoughts and or experiences?

I went out and measured mine and, son-of-a-gun, the windshield frame sits 1 1/4" back from the centerline of the actuator post hole, just where the template that I got from Rocky (and, presumably from CMC/Fiberfab) put it.

So what's the big deal? It fits the wiber blades OK, it fits the shape of the body OK, and I don't have a big chunk of body sticking out to the rear of the corner post (making the whole shape look sexier). If you add side curtains later on, you'll be custom-fitting them anyway, so it doesn't matter where the windshield frame sits, right?

Take a "glass half full" point of view: What you've got is the way it SHOULD be. Besides, leaving it alone will save you a LOT of meaningless work.

BTW: STILL on my original windshield - maybe the two are related???

Dont I know that :) ....leaving it alone is my preferred plan of action !
Just that it looked a bit too far rearward, the previous shade tree builder did fabricate longer post spacers and bolts so the bolt head would clear the inside corner of the cowl area to be able to get a socket on it.

I would love to go check, but it keeps on raining and the car can't go into the new garage yet. Please, send warm weather.
