I've looked through old posts, the CMC build manual, and done a site search, but can't find any information on removing the windshield and frame from the car.

Is it just a process of three bolts/nuts holding the windshield assembly to the cowl (centre and two end posts)? Or, is the bottom rubber seal attached to the cowl also? Can the entire assembly be removed intact?

Thanks very much. I need to recover the dash.

Just covered my dash last weekend with foam underpad... SWEET. Remove the center post be careful if the bolt is tough to turn since it can break. Happened to me and a muffler shop rewelded it. Remove the 2 screws on each side that hold the windshield to the posts. The windshield will lift off. You may need to loosen the posts to gently pull the windshield off. Everything is one piece. The glass, rubber, trim and all comes off as one piece.

When you put it back together, DO NOT over tighten anything. Since this may cause a NICE crack to form. But it is easy.
