Sorry, not nostalgic for anything with a Nazi swastika on it.
I love me some WWII aviation.
Swastika or no Swastika you've got to appreciate the tech that they were coming up with during that period. The ME 109 was fuel injected when the Brits dismissed the idea.
The VW Bug probably wouldn't have been a thing, which got the ball rolling for the beloved 356, without the Swastika.
A lot of terrible things happened under that sign, but there were a few goodish things.
I'm not defending it at all, just sayin.

This of it as confiscated from them
@Carlos G i was just going to let this all go...but you sir are absolutely correct....just about word for word what i thought about interjecting here....i had lots of warbirds shots from saturday...that plane is a amazing restoration of a iconic warbird and piece of history... i was trying to stick to the 'deutscen luftwaffe" (german airforce) theme of our little german cars...that's all...just for the record...the swastika had many other meanings before it was chosen as the nazi hate symbol...just sayin" happy aviation & motoring to all

I am well aware of the origins of the swastika symbol.
But in this context, on a WW2 German plane, it conjures up some unpleasant realities that aren't about VW's or fuel injection.
I respect your choice in aligning it with those facts.
For me that pales in comparison to what the Nazi swastika represents in terms of human suffering and destruction.
@Panhandle Bob it was not my intent to open a can of worms...i think we can all agree with the evil aligned with that symbol.....i found the guy who photographed that plane along with many others...seems the owner that flies that plane had the right idea about it as well....here's a close up which was hard to see in the flight photo...although still could be construed as the SS symbol i guess (which is just as evil)....along with a few other warbird shots for context....(which includes a supermarine spitfire...which killed a bunch of nazi pilots)....hope this fixes things

Nothing to fix.
We are good!
About 25-30 years ago I went to an air show when Weeks Air Museum was near Kissimmee. You got to walk around the planes like it was a cars and coffee. Then a crew would come out, spread the onlookers, start up a plane and fly it. They'd make a few passes overhead and landed. It was freaking AWESOME!
