My project this winter is EFI + DFI for my Type IV.

I'm going with dual Jenvey ITB (IDF pattern), EDIS for wasted spark ignition, with fuel/ignition controlled by a megasquirt ECU.

Why? Hopefully better fuel economy (can tune for maximum power AND maximum economy), easier cold starting, better idling when cold, and better driveability (not that there is much wrong with that right now!).
1) Hook up the light on my 15 inch tall, hollow plastic Santa, currently mounted on the roll bar. Yeah, we drive 'em all year round out here.
2) Wiring up the Cylinder head temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge. Gauges all ready physically installed.
3) Change out my mongrel front sway bar bushings with new eurothane bushings and new clamps.
4) File down the inside left rear fender lip so the tire won't rub under max cornering.
Work towards finishing my Speedster. Install fuel tank & lines, shorten shift rod, adjust front & rear ride height, install all wiring, install exhaust, install floors, install entire interior, cut & install carpeting, install windshield, reinstall doors & trunk lid.......SKI ON WEEKENDS.

Guess I will not finish before late summer of '07.

Chris,
I did get my carpet at Lowes. It was just the standard indoor/outdoor grey loop with a rubber backing. I bought a 6X9' piece and cut patterns for the floors, door sills, tunnel and rear area with very little to spare. I bought black 1/2" hem tape(?) which is a poly/cotton blend for the trim and had my sister sew it on with her sewing machine. She had no problems with it. The reason I didn't use vinyl was it was too thick and after a while it tends to crack, etc... It remains to be seen how the hem tape will hold up? Regardless, if needed I can always remove it and go with vinyl later. I held back on doing under the dash because I have to do the pockets for either side and that may be a little more detailed but if it comes out the same as the other stuff I'll be pleased. Since my car isn't a "show car" and since I'm a bit of an "old school" guy. I saw no reason spending big $$$ on high end square weave carpet since I'm only looking to achieve a clean, simple look. I figure when all is said and done it'll set me back about $50 for materials. If you want pics let me know and I'll put some up.
I pickup up a trashed 56 oval ragtop. I'm in the process of chopping 6" off the roof and laying down the back window area. Also building a chassis to extend the front end 18-20" longer. Front suspension is a 32 ford spring axle w/ wishbones. Add the suicide doors, front sprint car nose and grill and you have an open wheeler similar to a T roadster.
