Winter upgrades

Whit:

There are three or four versions, depending on what you like (and how much you're willing to spend):

1.)  Screen only which replaces the headlight outer glass.

2.)  Screen only, which fits over the headlight outer glass

3.)  A vertical Grill (not a screen) which either fits over or replaces the outer glass

4.)  NOS Porsche for 356-A which attaches to the chrome headlight rim with screws and knurled knobs.  These are as scarce as hen's teeth, get wicked big bucks but look terrific.

1 - 3 above sometimes show up on Samba, Pelican Parts or ebay, usually under $150 for the pair.  I've also seen them on Mid-America and Automotion (if they're still around) and Stoddard's.  

#4, above, is seldom seen and then gets $everal hundred for a pair.  They're also more than a little difficult to install right.

Just FYI; I have some beautiful repros of #4 with the knurled knobs.  Triple plate chrome (copper, nickel, chrome) and very nicely done.  They are somewhere in the $200 range IIRC.
