46 and breezy is just a nice top-up cruise. With some decent side windows you can even see out and get some airflow. Easy to make and worth the trouble as they make driving in chilly weather much more fun.
Jeez, Joe...I hope you make it out alive!!!!!!! What's Bremen for you? AN HOUR!!!!!!!! You woos!
Joe, you'll be fine. You have the Espar heater and the vents in the rear AND heated seats! Take a roll of wide blue tape and to tape over where the windshield meets the top, just in case. Expect some leaking around the bottom of the windshield posts and bring a towel (I carry a Shamwow on board).
I'm back and even with the terrible weather I have a ginormous SEG on my face. The painters tape works wonders and the combination of heated seats and the Espar heater I was OK.
The Hines family has to be the best in the biz. As I was putting gas in my car for the trip home my radio did not power on so headed back to SE. Kevin had me pull in and after Mike tested to see if it was a power issue, which is was not he went out grabbed a new radio and installed it. It truly was service with a smile.
As for the upgrades/tweaks. Here are a few pics of the driving lights, pedals, painted shift knob (thanks Lane), cup holders and rain hats. I am so thankful for this forum and everyone's ideas that I borrowed (stole).
I am hoping the weather breaks for us Midwesterners so we can drive properly; top down.
@ Rich 2.5 hrs door to door.

Wow - looks great - I would love to see more interior shots - love the leather color - for that matter the outside color looks fantastic as well.
I'm a wee bit envious there, Joe. Absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you Lane, I was extremely lucky with my purchase. The painted shift knob looks great, never loved the black with my interior.
@Schu - once I get time to clean her up I'll post a few more pics.
Joe:
Car looks great! i love the pedals/foot rest and cupholder.!!!!
Good for you, Joe, everything looks great, it's gonna look great in the caravan to Carlisle. 2.5 hours door to door round trip? If I take the freeway, I can get down there in 3 or so I think.
Love the dead pedal. Was it effective?
Yea the dead pedal was great for tollway driving which was 90 minutes of the journey. Carey fabed it from a rennline gas pedal.
it is 143 miles one way to Bremen, in my A5 it was 2 hrs flat. The speedster tacked on 30 minutes.
lookin VERY VERY nice!
I've used the carpeted area on the wheel well as a foot rest, but that tends to get it dirty. I may have to speak to our friend Mr. Hines about what he did on yours.
Joe, looking very sweet! Carey and company are the best.
Thanks everyone. The best part is the car runs like a top. It sat in Carey's shop all winter and according to Carey fired up imediately and idled smoothly. (And a shout out from Mango, I am all giddy )
I am already working on next years list, is this a disease?
Affirmative.
