Wiper arms for Speedster

Does anyone know what would be the correct wiper arms for my IM Speedster? Do the posts vary from year to year? Mine is build on a 66 bug chassis, so assuming that the motor is from that car...Not that I would ever get the car wet, or drive it in the rain, but just to complete it. Or are there any items you know of to use for capping off the posts.

VW made some changes over the years regarding the wiper pivots and shafts, check to see if your pivot has up and down grooves on a short straight shaft, a simple narrow straight shaft with a very slight flat spot for the set screw to seal against, or groves plus a threaded tip on a slightly thicker/longer tapered shaft.

The straight is early and the tapered is late. I doubt that your wipers are from a 1966, as that's the last year of the 6 volt cars.

Check the pivots and let us know, We'll go from there.

I have a pair of these in spare for my (2000) 356A '58 IM Speedster.

Can you get an extreme close up of the pivot hole or if not, how long are the arms and is the hole tapered?

Thanks for the responses. Now, if I use a VW arm, does it need shortening, and where do I find the correct blades? I mean, the Speedster's windscreen is quite a bit shorter than a Bug's.

Brian , What I have done is just order them from Vintage it may be a few bucks more that a VW aftermarket supplier, but you'll get what fits the speedster.
