Hi all, while I was driving the other day (in a little rain) the right wiper blade flew off. Now I think I learned a screw can tighten it if it was indeed loose, but have to replace it. I have an early 90's IM. I actually still have the plastic connector that goes on the j hook, but any help as to what/where I should buy to replace the blade. Pics attached. Thanks in advance

There is no screw there - it just snaps on.
Those wiper arms aren't the most precisely manufactured parts. You might have to bend the J hook a bit. If the plastic piece that you have, is what was on the original blade, then maybe that's the cause of your problems. The new blade should come with one of those plastic parts. Use it instead. Just make sure that blade has a solid click when installed.
What Carlos said. The plastic piece is usually replaced with the wiper blade. I removed my rubber blade inserts and sprayed the blade hammertone silver, as well as the arms. The black ones don't look "right" to me.
I believe you can still purchase just the rubber refills, as that is usually all you need.
Some of the black clips are not made correctly and don't snap into the rectangular opening in the arm hook, I drill a small hole the width of the rectangular opening he so that it is slightly longer this allows it to seat properly.
All good advice here, Marc.
I replaced my arms AND my blades recently.
Good news is, O'Reilly carries Bosch wiper blades, and their smallest is a 10" blade that is meant for the rear wipers on small SUVs. It's the perfect size for our tiny cars!
When you open the package, the rubber is protected by a hard plastic strip that covers the rubber only. Since the rest of the blade only comes in black, I bought a rattle can of silver and easily sprayed the whole thing -- the plastic protected the rubber perfectly, and now I have two vintage-looking wiper blades with a nice BOSCH stamp on them!

Careful, now Carlos. Al is gonna get excited, someone else is drilling holes in stuff!
I just thought I'd throw into this Thread how I "fixed" my wipers so they'll never fly off and, more importantly, they'll never (again) chip the paint on the top edge of the frunk lid. After only 11 years and 2 or 3 (whatever...2 or 3 too many) chips, it dawned on me that I'll only need the wipers for 2 things. Number One is while driving the Speedster in the rain - that's NEVER gonna happen, so help me God ...and Number Two is if a rookie CHP officer ever questions me about their absence, but that's another "NEVER gonna happen." I've slipped them both into the DMV envelope holding the front license plate, and stuck that in the frunk.
