What's the standard wiper motor set up in speedsters? I may need to replace my set up, or the stems at the very least. I took my wiper arms off when I got the car painted. I had to heat them up because they were epoxyed on. Why? It turns out that the splines on the stems are stripped. Normally I'd just get the replacement stems but these are, or seem to be, original speedster stems and I can't find them on Klasse, Stoddards, or NLA.
I don't usually drive my car in the rain but from time to time I get caught in it so I need wipers. I tried to re-epoxy them but the driver side didn't hold. I was thinking about just JB Welding them on, is that a bad idea?

Mickey,

Ive been doing much research on this. I have a pair of 356 wiper arms/blades id like to use. The wiper pivot/shaft installed on my car is not correct for the wiper arms. Anyway, check out these websites.

Jeez Michael, don't you know technical terms? ; )

I took the arm off again and the "little thing" I was talking about. It looks as if the "little thing" is supposed to slip over the stem and hook up to the splines and be fastened down with a nut. Problem is the threaded part looks as if it broke or someone cut it short and leaves VERY little for the nut to grab on to. I'm not against JB welding the thing on there but when and if the assembly fails it'll be a bitch to get off.
