I'm in the middle of wiring my Speedster. I have never done this before so this is my only frame of referance.

but....

My Streetbeast kit came with a 12 circuit harness from a company called Kwik Wire. I am very impressed how easy it has been so far. Every wire is numbered, colored and printed the name of the circuit. The manual that came with the harness is pretty good and easy to understand for someone who is not an electrical engineer.

If any of you are shopping around for a harness check them out.

I have a set of SB gauges but I'm not sure if I'm going to use them. I sold my VDO gauges from my 911 & now wish I didn't. I've looked at new VDO, Stewart Warner, etc. Not sure which I'll use. Does anyone know if the Brazilan VDO gauges (Tach)can be calibrated for 4, 6 or 8cyl. I'm assuming these are the repro. combination type gauges.
Most (if not all) 356 tachometers are mechanical drive; the drive is in the oil pump cover and of course a long cable/housing goes from there to the underside of the dash. And you would be dealing with 6 Volt instruments/lighting which means some kind of voltage step-down for them. And of course you'd need a 6 Volt sender for the fuel gauge.
