Hi gang,
Got a 1960 VW steering column with the turn signal assembly on it. How the H@!! do you wire that thing in to work? Anyone else put one in their speedster? I'm trying to keep it old looking. Anyone make aftermarket switch assemblies that would fit in the switch holder? Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

Are you sure it's a 1960 t/s switch? If it is, it's worth a few $$$'s. If it's a 1960-61 switch, it should have 6-wires coming out of it. For use in a Speedster, you'll only need to utilize 3 of the wires, NOT all 6.
Best bet would be to sell it to a 1960-61 Beetle owner and go buy a 1962-66 switch for alot less. The 1962-66 switch has only 3 wires which is all you need
OK, But I alrealy did mine with a 65 bus switch.
It self cancels and yes its stalk has a dimmer hidden in it and the red tip flashes.
Thanks for filling in the unknowns.

Please take note of the shifter base.
And the button on the floor is not a dimmer, its a pulse wiper wash button. I have intermittion wipe as well all the controls look 50ish.

I also have a 70 bus switch with built in dimmer,I was hoping it would work in the earlier 65 case. Nope a no go, but it wouldn't look to far off from correct as is.
It a 1970 beetle pan with the forks heavly opened and reiforced to hold a T-3 Audi automatic. that has been the least of my problems.

Right know I have T-4 problems I,ll have to take it down to find out what. But the exhaust may have been to restrictive , or a rich runnng carb may have loosend a valve seat.

(Just a bad month)

As a extra precaution also added the rear torque bar
